What should I be doing?

You have either heard it or said it. You may be the teacher that has been asked it or the student that CONTINUES to ask it! The infamous phrase, "Ummmm, what should I be doing?"

When it comes to blogs here is what you do.
  1. Choose a topic. What might your topic be? You may have been walking down the street and saw a funny scene; describe the scene and write about why it was funny! Your crazy teacher may have asked you to write about the most crazy, ludicrous, scary mythological creature. Just go for it!
  2. WRITE YOUR THOUGHTS DOWN! This is a blog, have fun with it. It could be a page it could just be a paragraph. YOUR blog means YOUR rules! That mythological creature sounds fun so I am going to give you an example of one!

Early in the day, right when the sun starts heating the horizon you are so fortunate to be on, an animal that scares even me comes out to reap upon the world. They call it the "Minor-Oporata de Phono" or MOP. This beast is all to familiar, but never the less, downright scary. MOP's thoughts are continuously clouded by the BEATs earphones it wears; no wonder why MOP seems impervious to the worlds chaos and overall structure of society. Generally you can find MOPs loitering around schools talking with other MOPs about this, that and the other thing; generally conversation is held at a high level for anyone within a 5k radius to hear.
Sometimes you can actually see them moving as they lazily enter your classroom and grace you with their presence; entering the classroom, PLOPPING down in their seat and then slouching just far enough to be touching the other MOPs resting place ahead of them. But, the topper on the cake is hearing that question they ask sometimes after you have said it for the tenth time, "Ummmmm, what should I be doing?" That is generally when you take the little piece of technology that lights up their face providing them some sort of entertainment, and explain this will be the tenth to last time you tell them. "Please read the board for your directions."

All in good fun, I love my MOPs and look forward to learning with them throughout their and my career in the school!
