KidsHealth.org is a resource that I use to empower students to research those phrases they may hear from the adults in their life, such as: "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day;" or "You need to eat your greens before you leave this table." But what are you saying about sleep?
Did you know that your chid has higher anxiety with a lack of sleep? It could be that they don't perform well at school. It may also lead to an increase in food consumption. Regardless, sleep is VERY important and your child should be getting at least 8 hours of sleep, if not more! I encourage you to talk with your children about their healthy choices, and if you are struggling to find the answers visit the link above labeled "RESOURCES."
