Sharing is Caring...

This will be a quick one and I'll follow up later with a more detailed response this summer when, as all teacher know, we have some more time on our hands.

I am looking at all of the resources I use, assignments I create and documents I dream up and thought I would share them, just like my kindergarten teacher Ms. Fintack taught me to. Going through university I heard from one of my favorite professors, Dr. Jane A.K. Carlson, that when it comes to lesson ideas, "why reinvent the wheel?" Creativity is an important part of teaching, with students constantly engaged, teacher need to be dynamic thinkers that are continually changing the way they teach a lesson, activity or skill.

Because I feel sharing is one of the most important life skills, I want to give you some resources that I hope get your wheels turning. These resources start with websites that I find helpful when I am finding information and finish with assessments that I give my students. Go ahead and have a look, then let me know what you think!

I would love to hear your thoughts and collaborate with you on an assignment you are working on or one of my own. You can always share an idea with me or contact me on twitter, we can get he ball rolling. I consistently turn to my work mate @andreajarr and rattle off an idea or two about an assignment and she gives me some great feedback. We need to be able to inquire, collaborate and SHARE, just like we are asking our students to do.

So, go ahead and take it, whatever you'd like, but don't forget to give me some comments back!

Have a look at My Resources!
