Wanna Raise Some Money?

I have been MIA when it comes to writing on my blog, but I have a valid reason. Recently, I have been working on something BIG, well at least it's big in my eyes. Generally, if something works well for me I share on my experience in hope that others, if it suits them, can benefit from what I have learned. Just incase you are wondering what I have already promoted to people, here are a couple with quick explanations.

I have used this Credit Card in SO MANY countries and it's never be refused, I've never had fees and it continues to supplement my travel through rewards and points. Check it out and give it a go, I know you won't be disappointed.

Weebly helps me create this website and I have created a couple more. Weebly is one of the EASIEST interfaces to use when creating a website, blog or company. Just like the credit card, give it a go, I know you won't be disappointed.

Booster is the crowdsourcing website used to fundraise. They are very helpful and useful when it comes to art and other distribution questions. If you want to design a shirt for a cause, this is the site you HAVE to use!
Sorry for that short commercial break, now back to the regular scheduled blog.
The full story of why I started this campaign is pretty long, and the closest place you can find it is on the MHS Weight Room Facebook page. You can check out some of the articles that were posted last year and get some of the background info about the potential closing of a great weight training program in Muskego, Wisconsin. If you'd like to interact, please go ahead and posts some questions, I promise to get the answer and get back to you as soon as possible.

To give you a brief overview of what the MHS Weight Room was like before holes were found in the floor have a look at this video and check out this article.

For those that can't be bothered, I'll try to make the story short and sweet: The weight room as you knew it that was next to the south gym was closed about a year ago after holes were found in the ceiling of the locker room below the weight room. Nitka knows how to get kids Bigger, Faster and Stronger, and with all the weights being thrown around, the second floor just couldn't handle it.

After finding the problem, they had to shut the weight room down and move the equipment out in order to repair the floor. Repairing the floor would have costed tens of thousands of dollars as well as loosing several inches in ceiling height. The equipment that could be utilized was moved to a study hall room and set up so the students of MHS could still use it. All of the other equipment was moved into storage and the discussion began, "what would the fate be of the MHS weight room?"

I have to believe that soon after the School Board and other officials found out there was a FB Page created in support of school keeping the weight room, they had no choice but to find a solution. Even as they contemplated closing the weight room forever, it was decided that it just wasn't an option. They utilized a couple of rooms on the basement level at MHS and turned it into a 6,000 square foot weight room that is now going to continue to support the students of MHS.

Moving into a new bigger facility with the same amount of equipment gives Coach Nitka and the school some more space to bring in new equipment and keep growing with the students interest. I have taken it upon myself along with a couple of others to raise some money to supplement those costs. Coach Nitka loves his t-shirts, so Amy Schlosser helped me redesign the POWER "M" and I've designed these shirts that will be sold on Booster.com. They are being sold at a little higher of any other shirt's price, but the remainder of the money will go directly to a fund for the weight room. The more shirts sold, the more money goes to the weight room.

Please pass this along to anyone you'd like. You don't have to be a Muskego Alumni to support and as always, thanks reading and for your support! The links to the shirts are below!
